Biochar Production Calculation Tool (Step by Step)

A dedicated assessment tool has been developed to estimate biochar production potential based on a range of parameters, including the type of biomass and the different stages of pretreatment, conversion, and post-processing. By integrating these technical and logistical factors, the tool helps to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of biochar production across diverse territories. Its main objective is to identify local biochar potentials according to available resources and infrastructure, and to compare this pathway with existing biomass valorization options. Ultimately, it supports strategic decision-making for sustainable resource management and territorial carbon optimization.
